Please join us in congratulating the Estate Planning & Community Property Law Journal at the Texas Tech University School of Law for publishing the article which received the Outstanding Law Review Article Award from the Texas Bar Foundation for the article authored by Turney P. Berry and Paul S. Lee entitled Retaining, Obtaining, and Sustaining Basis, published in Volume 7, Book 1 of the EPJ.
 
Turney Berry is a partner at Wyatt, Tarrant & Combs LLP in Louisville, Kentucky where he is the leader of the firm’s Trusts, Estates & Personal Planning Service Team. Berry is a member of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, where he previously served as Regent and President of the ACTEC Foundation.
 
Paul Lee is a Senior Regional Wealth Advisor with The Northern Trust Company located in New York City. Prior to joining Northern Trust, Lee was a National Managing Director at Bernstein Global Wealth Management and a Partner at Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP.
 
The Outstanding Law Review Article Award honors a law review article published by one of the Texas Law schools. In addition to recognizing the co-authors, the Texas Bar Foundation will provide a $1,000 donation to a scholarship fund at the Texas Tech School of Law in honor of Mr. Berry and Mr. Lee.
 
This award marks the second time EPJ earned the Outstanding Law Review Article Award in its 8 years of existence, as Tech Law’s very own Professor Bryan Camp received the award in 2010.
